Zach Raphael

Orchestra Program Intern

A native of the Philadelphia area, Zach Raphael is a graduate of Ithaca College, where he earned a degree in Anthropology. Zach has played cello and sang in a variety of ensembles in high school and college, including the Keystone State Boychoir, with whom he toured Norway, Australia & New Zealand, and South Africa. Zach hopes to use his unique perspective to show that classical music can be enjoyed by all, regardless of musical background.

After working for the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra his senior year at Ithaca, Zach took a particular interest in the ensemble management and music education worlds. Since then, he has worked as a teaching artist with the Allentown Symphony Association and rehearsal assistant with The Crossing, a grammy-award winning chamber choir based in Philadelphia. Zach hopes to gain experience as an administrator, teacher and performer as part of his time at Philadelphia Sinfonia.
